Popular perception depicts a gamer as a bespected, geeky teen. But here are 5 of the hottest celebrities that have come out of the gaming closet, revealing themselves to be hardcore gamers.
1. Cameron Diaz
Cameron Diaz, 42, needs little introduction to the masses of movie goers, and surprisingly, even less to fans of the ever-popular Massive-Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG), World of Warcraft (affectionately abbreviated as WoW). Diaz has professed that she was once deeply addicted to the incredibly fun game, and that she still plays it in her free time whenever she can. Although Diaz is usually in the limelight, appearing as a spectator for an NBA basketball game and attending numerous celebrity shows, she has wisely never exposed her WoW handle or even the server on which she plays on.
2. John Cena
Would anyone have expected John Cena to be a huge gaming fan? Probably not many, but Cena is actually not just known being big, nasty and trash-talking in the WWE. He has proudly proclaimed his fan boy love for the Command & Conquer series, stating that he’s been on the game since Tiberian Sun. Cena also enjoys Madden and other sports game, and even takes his WWE trash-talking with it. We can’t help but wonder if he secretly plays as himself in the latest WWE wrestling games.
3. Mila Kunis
One after another, beautiful actresses begin to reveal themselves as hardcore gamers. Another long time fan of WoW, Kunis, best known for her roles in Family Guy & That 70’s Show, confessed her love for video games in an interview. While Kunis has since stated that she stopped WoW for other pursuits, like her role in the movie Max Payne perhaps, WoW gamers worldwide know better.

4. Megan Fox
The Transformers star isn’t involved in WoW (finally!) but instead indulges herself in Mortal Kombat. Showing much humility in her interview, Fox declared that she’s a “badass” at the Mortal Kombat fighting games and that “the way my brain fires signals works well with how that game works. And I'm just really good.”. We don’t know who Fox’s lucky sparring partner is, but we’re sure there would be a long queue of gamers wanting to eat a fatality or two from her.
5. Vin Diesel
Would you even dare call this gamer a nerd? Vin Diesel apparently spends just as much time in the gym as levelling his “deadly” character in WoW. The Triple X and Chronicles of Riddick badass didn’t reveal who he plays in the game, but “deadly” and “Vin Diesel” are extremely compatible terms so we won’t doubt him. Aside from WoW, Vin Diesel also used to play Dungeons and Dragons (props to him) in his younger days but he has since “moved on with the generation”. Fast and furious indeed.
