Facebook has come out to clear the air about all this rumor mongering: it is simply untrue.
The people at Facebook posted up a message on Monday saying: “A rumor on the internet caught our attention. We have no plans to charge for Facebook. It's free and always will be”.
On top of that, Facebook has also said so on the sign-in page at Facebook.com.
In doing so, rest assured that Facebook will always be free.
