MatchMove Pay Honoured with the 2016 TAFEP Exemplary Employer Award
11 May 2016, Singapore—MatchMove Pay was presented with the prestigious TAFEP Exemplary Employer Award last April 8 by the Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP). Conceived in 2010 to help push Singapore to become a global standard in diversity and employee satisfaction, the TAFEP Exemplary Employer Award (TEEA) is given to companies who have demonstrated exceptional performance in championing diversity, progressiveness, inclusion, and fairness in the workplace.
This year, TAFEP has received the highest number of nominees since its inception despite the more stringent judging process coupled with a remarkably challenging business environment. 2016 finalists are a varied mix of SMEs and multi-nationals from different industries and were selected based on their adoption of progressive HR policies, management of diverse workplace, and a strong commitment from their senior management for these practices.
MatchMove Pay is among the fifteen companies which were selected as this year’s TEEA recipients.

Winners of the TAFEP Exemplary Employer Award were rewarded with a trophy, together with a permission to use the TAFEP award logo for two years for recruitment and publicity purposes. They will also have the opportunity to gain valuable media mileage, and opportunities to connect with industry leaders and professionals. A customised feedback report on their strengths and weakness for purposes of improvement duly assessed by TAFEP representatives were also presented to the winners.
During the awarding event, the guest of honour Manpower Minister Lim Swee Say remarked that investing in human capital is a must for employers and that human capital should be treated as a business facet that is equally important as technology and automation. He further explained, “employees who are happy are more productive, and employers who can foster this kind of working environment produce better results. This is why we honor these companies—to encourage more to follow suit.”
MatchMove Pay’s Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Shailesh Naik, said, “We believe in the power and value of having a diverse workforce and we hire and promote strictly on merit. Our staff enjoys working with and learning from others from different backgrounds. Leveraging on the strong social and business policies of the Singapore Government, we are able to attract talent from around the world while building a strong Singapore core across all our teams and levels of the organisation.”
