MatchMove Wins the London Innotribe Startup Challenge Showcase

SWIFT Innotribe select the most promising startup in Europe to compete in the Grand Finale at Sibos

London, 2 May 2014 – MatchMove was honoured to receive the “Top Innovator” award from SWIFT’s Innotribe Startup Challenge Regional Showcase held in London on 1 May, where they presented MatchMove Wallet, Asia’s first eWallet that lets you shop online using virtual cards.

As “Top Innovator” of the European showcase, MatchMove will now advance to the Innotribe Startup Challenge Grand Finale to be held at Sibos, SWIFT’s annual conference, in Boston in October 2014. During the event, MatchMove will compete against the finalists from the Singapore and New York showcases.

Mr Shailesh Naik, Chief Executive Officer of MatchMove said, “Technological innovation has always been at the core of our DNA. It’s not often that startups from Asia receive global recognition for their innovation, therefore we are truly humbled. Our vision is to make payment of online shopping accessible and safe for all”.

The London showcase of the Innotribe Startup Challenge saw 15 of the region’s most promising fintech startups presenting their businesses to an audience of hundreds of the financial industry’s most influential innovators and investors, industry experts, venture capitalists, and press. The competition provides participants with the unique opportunity to get together and create smart company pitches, facilitate insightful discussions on emerging innovations, and participate in useful networking events.

All of the pitches were of the highest standard and these companies can be proud of their achievements! We wish the finalists the best of luck at Sibos in Boston later this year.”

The London Startup Challenge showcase was the first of the three regional challenges to be held in 2014 and was sponsored by HP, Invest NI, Level39, and SAP.
