luvit Card scales flexible financial access for Filipinos, powered by MatchMove

Manila, Philippines, September 2026 — luvit, the everyday financial access card from WeFund Lending Corp., has built a fast-growing base of Filipino cardholders in its first months in market - an early signal that flexible, app-based financial access is reaching consumers who have historically had limited access to formal financial services.

Launched in February 2026, the luvit Card lets users pay across Mastercard's global merchant network and repay in full or through flexible installment options - with 0% interest for up to 40 days, no annual fees, and approval in minutes through the luvit app. It marks WeFund's expansion into card-based financial access, building on the company's experience operating JuanHand, one of the Philippines' leading digital loan apps.

luvit is tailored for young, digitally-engaged Filipinos, many of whom are using formal financial products for the first time. Eligibility and risk assessments are supported by the proprietary artificial intelligence of FinVolution Group, WeFund's parent company.

In the months since launch, the program has seen steady month-on-month growth in both transaction volume and value as cardholder adoption has scaled. Adoption has been led by a young, digitally native audience - with strong representation among women and working professionals - concentrated in Metro Manila and extending steadily into the Visayas and Mindanao.

Usage to date points to a card woven into everyday Filipino life: online shopping, bills, groceries, dining, and travel, across both local and international merchants. luvit launched with virtual issuance - meeting consumers where they already transact - with a physical card in preparation to extend the program into in-store payments.

The luvit Card is supported by Asia United Bank (AUB) as its Bank Identification Number (BIN) sponsor and MatchMove as its technology partner. Through a single integration, MatchMove provides the card issuing and processing infrastructure behind the program, spanning card issuance, transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation, and compliance reporting. This allows WeFund to bring the card to market and scale it without building banking infrastructure of its own.

“luvit was created to make everyday financial access simpler, more flexible, and more inclusive for Filipinos. Through our partnership with Asia United Bank and MatchMove, we are bringing financial access into their everyday life with confidence alongside responsible financial solutions."

— Francisco D. C. Mauricio
President and CEO, WeFund Lending Corporation

As the program moves toward its physical card rollout, luvit and its partners aim to deepen everyday usage and broaden access to flexible credit across the Philippines.
